Outdoor Link, llc is a leading source for outdoor education, wilderness experiences and rock climbing skills in California and Nevada

The outdoors can be a source of recreation, education, and inspiration or a catalyst for growth and change for individuals or teams. These days our lives are generally highly urbanized and it is all too easy for our inherent connection with nature to get a bit stale. At Outdoor Link our philosophy is focused on helping people of all ages explore, enjoy, and reconnect with the natural world and each other. We are mountain guides and outdoor educators, and our mission is to help people explore the outdoors. Whether by hiking or backpacking, rock climbing or just exploring and enjoying a place, we help individuals and groups connect with the wild.

Our philosophy:

The quality of our programs is our top concern. To that end Outdoor Link director Todd Vogel is certified by the American Mountain Guides Association in the fields of rock climbing and alpine mountaineering and he has been a backcountry ski guide since 1986. He is one of the leading instructors in the AMGA's top rope site manager program (now the Single Pitch Program), a founder of the Professional Climbing Instructors Association and has been active in outdoor education since the early 1980s. He has run thousands of outdoor-based programs for hundreds of groups at a wide variety of sites around the world including Mexico, Patagonia, Spain, Switzerland, New Zealand and many sites in the US. These days our programs all take place in the US.

Conservation is another one of our core values. By helping people discover and enhance their relationship to and their place within the natural world, we help work for the protection and preservation of wild places.

Programs:

Since 1983 we have offered trainings for guides, aspiring instructors, and recreationalists; climbing, backcountry skiing, and mountaineering programs; outdoor education trips for schools; and outdoor-based team building programs for groups and organizations. Our programs are 100% customized and designed from the proverbial "ground up" for each of our clients. Our focus now is on outdoor education for schools and groups including front country campground-based or backpacking-based programs all with focuses on natural history, hiking, outdoor skills, and rock climbing.

Places:

Our program areas include the Eastern Sierra (Inyo and Tahoe National Forests) and Death Valley and Joshua Tree National Parks.
